In 2006 Shepperton Studios celebrates its 75th anniversary. For the first time an official and authorised book will be published to not only celebrate the event but to provide the reader with a collectable, comprehensive and fully illustrated account of the history and influence of this world famous studio.

Shepperton has been owned by a succession of brothers over its 75 year history - The Kordas, the Boultings, the Lees and the Scotts and has produced some of the most financially and critically successful films of all time.

The book will feature over 300 exclusive and often previously unpublished images as well as exclusive interviews with directors including Lord Attenborough, Sir Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Freddie Francis, Bryan Forbes, Kenneth Branagh and Gurinder Chadra, who have contributed to the history of the studio.


Shepperton Studios features such classic films as The Third Man, The African Queen, A Man For All Seasons, Oliver, The Omen, Alien, Ghandi, Out of Africa, Gladiator as well as modern movie blockbusters like Bridget Jones Diary, Troy, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban and Bend it Like Beckham.

Based at Pinewood studios, Morris Bright, author and producer is a regular broadcaster on both tv and radio and has written several books on film and television.
